We will be speaking in Woodbridge Town, at the Woodbridge Community Center. The name of the pub is the Jolly Sailor, Time will be 6 pm on the 28th of December. Speakers will be, Linda Moulten Howe, John Burroughs, Jim Penniston, and Nick Pope. There will be a small cover charge to cover the cost of the hall and the rest of the proceeds will go to a local charity. (to be determined) After speaking we will invite the attendees to come with us to RAF Woodbridge, East Gate. John and Jim will go through the events of the night from thirty years before. You will understand the military importance of the situation, and how critical response was. You also see the route and landing site. You will be able to ask questions to both John and Jim.

To update Jim's post it will be at the Woodbridge Community Center which is located in Woodbridge. There is also a pub there called the Jolly Sailor which we might pop in and have a pint while were there but the event will be at the Community Center. Peter Robbins will also be joining us...

Gordon Goodger and David Wright have reunited two of the airman who first saw the unexplained lights, along with two internationally renowned experts on the subject and the man who once ran the British government’s UFO project. Mr Goodger worked at Bentwaters after leaving school in 1985. There he met Larry Warren, a former USAF airman from the Woodbridge base who claimed to have witnessed the incident and wrote extensively on the subject. “I’ve been interested in the Rendlesham Incident ever since,” said Mr Goodger. On December 28 they are all set to appear at Woodbridge Community Hall, where the casebook will be once again reopened for discussion. The guest speakers and organisers of the event are eager to invite any civilian witnesses to the incident to show up on the night. A similar talk in Ipswich in 1997 was attended by more than 200 people. Referring to the incident, he explained that USAF security police officers John Burroughs and Jim Penniston were patrolling the East Gate at RAF Woodbridge when they saw lights in the forest. What they witnessed has since been the topic of countless books, essays, television documentaries and speculation by conspiracy theorists. The former airmen will be joined on their return to Woodbridge by New York-based researcher Peter Robbins, award-winning documentarian Linda Moulton Howe, and Ministry of Defence expert Nick Pope. All profits from the sale of tickets for the event will go to the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) Treehouse Appeal. The seminar begins at 6pm on Tuesday, December 28. I noted a few comments on the local paper's website that were a bit negative. I think someone who can get there needs to point out that these men were not only protecting the stuff on the US bases but also the local community from potential attacks against the base by foreign agents, whoever those agencies might be. They AND the locals have a right to know what Governments know
I know many Brits back then (And likely now) felt that during the cold war the US presence in the UK made us a target, but if anyone really believes we were not going to be a target anyway they are quite wrong.

Hi, do I buy a ticket for this.....Miles Johnston and myself want to be booked in.....might be a difficult day to book a hotel, very many ordinary families may have booked the spaces out already......but I can stay with friends in London, should be OK.....I have met Linda a number of times, met Nick a couple of times, and would love to meet John and Jim......got quite a few things to say about the days around 28/12/10......looking forward to seeing you, Dave Moncoeur.

3 of us will attend 2 travelling from Newcastle, we are wondering about what time the landing site visit is planned, it seems to be after the presentation in Woodbridge, at what time is this and would it better to have the landing site visit in daylight before the presentation, one of my party is no spring chicken and traipsing around the forest in the dark late at night seems a bit silly cheers nobby  |

Hello folks,
I have been following the forum, since it opened, but find very little activity. I am surprised.
Anyway.
I do intend to come with a friend of mine.
I will have a HD (50Hz) video camera and will record the max the batteries can (around 5 hours, but much less if very cold...).
Since I am in France, the 6£ story is tricky. So I post to ensure we will still be welcomed that evening even if we didn't send the money.
Like nobby, I would have liked the hike to occur in daylight because my cam will make nothing good. And we will be completely lost. You know, In the dark, you see nothing... Not very informative. I understand that they want to show where/if the lighthouse is/visible. On the other side, in the complete darkness, it will be quite scary. But some part of me like it.
We are going to book tomorrow at a hotel around. I Will post where we go.

I had not seen your two previous messages.
I just called Gordon Goodger, but, unfortunately was told that its indeed packed full. Couldn't you do anything special so that we could be received anyway ? We are still 2. And would be really very disappointed not to be allowed to come.
